Delrin Rod 8' Lengths - $8 10’ Lengths - $10 |
An 1/8” diameter, black “plastic-like” rod commonly used for bridges. Doesn’t produce raspy tone as metal rods and the strings slide effortlessly across it. Can be used as a continuous rod of delrin on the treble and bass bridge. Separation of the bridge cap rods can also be done in the building process or later as desired. |

Custom Wound Strings $3.00 each |
These custom strings produce a “bigger” voicing of the lower bass and treble bridge notes. These strings are custom wound to fit Master Works instruments but may work on many different instruments. They are custom wound to certain lengths for each note. This keeps the winding from going over the delrin (to aid in tuning). See the current string gauge chart for your instrument to determine the strings you need. Sizes availabe W0-W7. |

Master Works Adjustable Stand $289 |

The craftsmen at Master Works are now building adjustable stands made of ash, complimenting the maple pinblock on your instrument. Extremely stable and rigid construction will allow you to use this stand, even while tuning, with no worries. Stands, branded with the Master Works logo, come with eight adjustable knobs for easy raising and lowering of your instrument. The height and angle of the arms are adjusted with the aid of a regular Phillips screwdriver. Perfect at any height. Opening like a book, the maxium height at the back can be raised to 44” with the front at 35 ¾”. The lowest height possible is 30” at the back with the front at 23 ¼”. New less expensive Pickups for Hammer Dulcimer! Schatten Model HD2 is a transducer style dual microphone system which does a great job of amplifing the instrument with very little work. Use self-adhesive tape (provided) to test your preferred location, get satisfied, then super glue (gel) into place permanently. Use as two separate mics or together with provided Y-adapter. Will work without or with a preamp (not provided) available at most guitar shops. |

New installation process for Schatten HD Pickups
It slicks up the gaudy cables and plugs originally left vibrating around inside. Now, both pickups are hardwired to separate 1/4" plugs located just above the lower handle port. A Y-cord adapter, provided, combines both pickups for a mono output. Or don't use the adapter and run both pickups as separate outputs for a stereo voice - sounds great! Also, experiment with a small mixer/pre-amp to balance and EQ the two inputs to maximize the benefits of the two microphones. |
