30th Year Photos/#79

The Reid family came strolling by one day of the Chantilly 2003 craft show.  I played them a few tunes and visited with them about the instrument.  What a change it made in their lives and a wonderful blessing they have been to ours!!  For most of their children (7) for Christmas they chose a hammer dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, bowed psaltery, mandolin and guitar for their Christmas gifts.  It was a wonderful musical gifting plan for their family.  We’ve stayed in touch over the years and usually meet every year at one of the shows out east.  The kids are quickly becoming fine Christian adults and great musicians.  I wonder if I will be able to claim some positive responsibility for their success in life when a final evaluation is made?   They have certainly been important to me.  See 100.
